ZIM: Infrastructure

Profile

The Infrastructure department takes care of everything that has to work in the background so that WLAN, Internet, e-mail and other IT applications can be used at Paderborn University. With its own central computers, large data storage capacity and a wide range of peripheral devices it provides computing capacity and information services for users. In addition, a constantly growing local network is operated and maintained. A fast connection to the scientific network provides access to many computers at other universities as well as worldwide communication via the Internet.

Organization and tasks
