E-Assessment NRW – infrastructure, didactics and law in diagnostic, formative and summative electronic assessments at universities

Core problems, which have so far been a major obstacle for all higher education institutions in the broad establishment and expansion of e-assessment offerings, are the legal and organisational clarification of questions relating to e-exams, the possible curricular integration of e-assessments, questions on the recognition of achievements, the lack of use of possible cooperation potentials based on higher education strategies, and questions on the basic infrastructural needs of electronic assessments.

In order to provide the respective work processes at the universities in North Rhine-Westphalia with a solid basis for action, the E-Assessment NRW project is working on three main areas of interest throughout the state:

  • Consulting and infrastructure
  • legal procedures
  • cooperation potential and network structures

Project duration: July 2014 to December 2017
