Profile

The Applications department is responsible for various central software solutions at Paderborn University. Identity management, various information systems such as the Paderborn University website and support for digital teaching and e-examinations are all part of the department's remit.

Organization and tasks

The Applications department is divided into three teams

• IDM & AAI
• e-teaching
• Information Systems

The e-teaching team is responsible for the Moodle systems PANDA, KOMO and Prüfung@UPB. A video portal is operated to provide videos in teaching and for web applications. Together with the Media department, automated lecture recordings with Opencast and live streams of events are supported and further developed. Juypter is available for the use of interactive notebooks in teaching.
