Your personal university account is your central access to the IT services of Paderborn University. It enables you to use university mail, WLAN, VPN, learning and cooperation platforms and other central systems.

With eduroam, the ZIM provides you with secure and powerful WLAN access on campus. Once you have set it up, you can use the WLAN not only at Paderborn University, but also at many other universities worldwide.

With VPN access, you can also securely access internal university IT services outside the campus network, e.g. network drives, licensed online resources or protected websites. The VPN service is intended in particular for working from home or when travelling.

With your Uni-Mail, you have an official e-mail account for secure communication within and outside the university. You can retrieve your emails via webmail or standard email programmes.

The profile manager allows you to maintain your personal profile page on the Paderborn University website - including contact details, functions and responsibilities.

The ID cards for employees are available in digital form via the UPB app. Alternatively, a paper ID card is available for self-printing in the ZIM service portal.
